The short version: Packed for It has no advertising, tracking, analytics, or developer-operated account system. We do not sell your information. The developer does not collect or have access to your trips, profiles, packing lists, photos, or voice recordings.
Information you choose to save
The app can save information you enter or select, including:
- Trips, dates, destinations, routes, stops, reservations, confirmations, and notes.
- Traveler and pet profiles, profile pictures, care details, and packing preferences.
- Packing lists, bag assignments, checkmarks, deleted-item recovery records, and other travel checklists.
- Home and vehicle details used to prepare for a trip.
- Apple Photos identifiers for photos you select as trip memories.
This information is used only to provide the app's features.
Where information is stored
Information is stored locally on your Apple device. When iCloud is available, trip information is also stored in your private iCloud database so it can appear on your Apple devices. Private iCloud information belongs to you and is not visible to the app developer.
Sharing a trip
A trip is shared only when you choose the sharing feature and approve Apple's iCloud sharing screen. Only people you invite can access the shared trip. Personal packing items marked Private are removed before a trip is shared.
Apple services
Packed for It uses Apple platform services to provide requested features:
- MapKit and Apple geocoding receive entered places and route requests to provide place search, route, distance, and map results. The app does not request or track your live device location.
- WeatherKit receives coordinates for trip places to provide forecasts and packing suggestions.
- CloudKit provides private syncing and sharing that you approve.
- Photos and PhotosUI let you choose profile pictures, review possible trip memories, save an album, or share selected photos.
- Siri and App Intents let you request packing actions by voice. Apple handles the spoken request and provides the requested action to Packed for It. The shipping app does not directly record or store your voice and does not request Microphone or Speech Recognition permission.
Information sent to Apple to service these requests is governed by Apple's privacy policies. Packed for It does not operate a separate server that receives or retains this information.
Photos
Photo access is requested only when you use Trip Photos or choose a profile picture. Trip Photos uses your trip dates and route legs to show possible memories for your review. Packed for It does not upload your photo library. It creates an Apple Photos album or shares photos only after you select the photos and choose that action.
Tracking, advertising, and third parties
- No tracking.
- No advertising.
- No analytics or behavioral telemetry.
- No third-party SDKs in the shipping iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch apps.
- No developer-operated account system or server.
Retention and deletion
Your local information remains until you edit or delete it, delete the app, or erase the device's data.
When the owner deletes a trip, Packed for It removes the local trip and asks iCloud to delete that trip's private cloud record. If iCloud is unavailable, cloud deletion may need to be retried when service returns. Access to a shared trip is controlled through Apple's iCloud sharing controls.
Deleting a trip or deleting Packed for It does not delete original photos from your Apple Photos library. Albums and photos can be managed separately in Apple Photos.
Children's privacy
Packed for It does not collect personal information for the developer. A parent or guardian may choose to save a child's packing profile locally or within the family's private or deliberately shared iCloud trip. The developer cannot view that information.
Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated if the app's storage, services, permissions, or data practices materially change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
